Mama Amor
Our cacao is sourced from Mama Amor, a women-led cacao collective in San Antonio, Guatemala. The collective is rooted in community, tradition, and creating meaningful economic opportunities for local women and their families. Their work honors cacao not only as a crop, but as something deeply connected to culture, land, and generations of knowledge.

From cultivation to preparation, each step is handled with intention and care. The cacao is grown in Guatemala, fermented and processed locally, then prepared using traditional methods before making its way to us. Sourcing from Mama Amor allows Camino to support a supply chain that feels personal, transparent, and aligned with what we value most: honoring the people, place, and hands behind the cacao we share.
Prepared with reverence for the traditional ways cacao has been worked for generations, the beans are fire-roasted and meticulously hand-peeled, preserving the beauty and integrity of the cacao through every step. Mama Amor continues to use original methods of preparation that are slow, intentional, and deeply rooted in place — a process that allows the cacao to retain its rich character while honoring the hands and traditions that have carried this medicine forward.
